Valentine's Day 2012

To all you ladies out there, have a Happy Valentine's Day!

I'd never seen a dancing Valentine before. Dancing Statues of Liberty, yes...seen them. But this past weekend in Columbia, MO, in front of Ambrosia Flowers I saw this young lady dancing her heart out, as it were. I was in town to see the Enns Entomology Museum - not a huge tourist draw, that, but they sure do have a lot of cool cicadas. And what do cicadas do? well, the guy cicadas sing to get a mate, amorous little bugs that they are - which brings us back to Valentines Day.

Nothing is more romantic than the majestic American jackalope. After all, he's the product of parents who wanted each other so much they broke the laws of inter-species dating.

I never thought about Ace's beginnings but I do often get asked where jackalopes come from and if they are real or not. I will have to remember your Valentine posting and use it in my answers from now on!!
