Protecting Weird Stuff for 50 Years

...Well, not quite 50 years. You see, although bubble wrap was invented 50 years ago this month, it was conceived not as a packing material but as a wall covering. I'm glad they re-purposed it after its application in shipping quickly became apparent. After all, what would your wall paper look like after your obsessive compulsive friends popped all the bubbles?
